Abellimento is the Italian musical expression denoting an embellishment, an ornament, or a decoration to the music.
Long inspired by the classically beautiful pairing of the flute and harp, Jacksonville flutist Gia Sastre and Chicago harpist AnnLaura Tapia formed Abellimento Flute & Harp Duo with a sincere commitment to exploring the possibilities offered by this ensemble. Blending their musical gifts, they create a true embellishment to many treasured, classical works.
Highly praised for their recitals, recordings, and special events by the Chicago Tribune, the Lafayette Journal & Courier, FluteTalk Magazine, among others, both women also maintain private studios where they train and teach musicians of all levels.
